When the kids signed up for Thursday night skating lessons I didn’t expect to be going to many of them. It was going to be a special night for the kids and Papa. Over the last few weeks I have been going and tonight when other commitments kept me from going I really missed it. So I was glad when I saw the pictures of Melissa and the kids at skating in my inbox. So launched my trusty call age making and whipped up today’s picture of the day. Of course it wasn’t till later that I learned the Violet skated the entire class without the skating aid. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it next week.
Today while coming home from Preschool with Nan they came across this huge pumpkin. I’m not sure what Violet was saying while my Mom took this picture, but that look on her face says ‘can I carve it… Please’
Today while checking on Jacob’s loose tooth, Melissa noticed a pair of teeth starting to poking up behind his baby teeth. That’s probably not a good thing. So next week it’s off to the Dentist for my little guy.
Today we have another collage, this time it’s of Violet as she climbs the fence at Jacob’s school before we headed home for the day. It was fun to watch as she tried so hard to climb the fence. It wont be long before she can get to the top.
Our little angel has a bit of a stubborn streak, and sometimes refuses to sit on the naughty chair. When that happens she is sent to her room till she is ready to come down and sit on the chair and apologize for what every she did wrong. The one drawback to sending either of the kids to their rooms is that they are filled with toys, that can distract from the punishment. Not to mention that some times they like to pull them all out making a big mess. Tonight was a stubborn night for young Violet, and while she was sitting in her room refusing to sit on the naughty chair, I heard her doing stuff in her room so when I went up to see if she was ready to come down to the naughty chair, I expected to see a mess. What I saw was a surprise, and so I pulled out a camera and snapped tonight’s picture of the day. When I asked her why she cleaned her room she said ‘Because I thought you’d like it.’ Of course she did finally come down to sit on the naughty chair, before passing out on the couch with Mommy watching Over the Rainbow.
Today Melissa had a short visit with Nate, while there she snapped this picture of Nate modding an outfit she had bought him a while back. It’s such a cute picture I just had to use it as my picture of the day.
Once again I found myself working from home on a Friday so I got the pleasure of taking Violet to her weekly Gymnastics class. As I watched today I was able to get better pictures of my little girl then last week. So I whipped up a little collage of some of the better shots. I just love the excitement she shows as we walk up to Toronto Gymnastics International for her class. I’m not sure how many more of her classes I’ll be able to get to this session, but I’m glad I’ve been the last couple of weeks.
I have one question for my regular readers, do you like these collages? On days like today I always struggle with whether I should just choose a single picture as my picture of the day and then through the rest in as bonus pictures. What do you think?
Tonight was skating night for the kids, Jacob has hockey skills, and Violet is learning to skate. It’s amazing to watch how much better they both are getting. For Violet it’s only been a few short weeks and she’s looking like she’s can almost skate without aid. I’m so proud of my little baby girl.
After dinner it’s time for Jacob’s homework, which these days means a chance for him to use his new desk. I snapped this pictures while he worked on this weeks spelling words.
Today’s picture of the day is a collage of photo’s my mom took this afternoon, while walking with Violet. She took some stunning pictures today and I wanted to share them.
