On my way home I saw these Christmas lights, they looked pretty cool, but the one thing I can’t figure out is if they are supposed to be something…. What do you think?

Today after work I met up with Melissa on the TTC, for some reason while I was waiting for her I snapped a few pictures of subway trains. What I didn’t expect was what I found when I looked at them when I got home. Can you recognize my blurry surprise?

Yesterday Violet had her surgery, and I used a collage of some of the day’s pictures for my picture of the day. Today I thought I’d take a different sort of look at the day. We have a picture of the two bracelets she wore throughout the day.

Today Violet headed into the operating room to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. It was a long day with us arriving at the hospital around 6:30am and not leaving till after 6:30pm. Watching my little girl go off with the nurse was harder than I expected, then to top it off the surgery seemed to take longer then we expected. Of course that was probably in our minds and everything went smoothly. There were some rough patches, but she’s home now and seems to be mostly herself. Tough she’s clearly still in a lot of pain at times. Of course spending the day at the hospital kept me from finishing off my Monday Post for today. There were a few minutes where I tried to write it up I just couldn’t focus. So unfortunately you’ll have to wait till next Monday for another installment of my Mobile Monday posts.

This afternoon it was just me and the kids and when they wanted a snack I put these plats together for them. It was a slow day for photo’s so I guess it’ll do as my picture of the day.

Today we have a picture of the Most important women in my life. Someone who I don’t praise enough and I probably don’t deserve. She’s always there for me and the kids and doesn’t get the credit she deserve. So tonight I thought I’d share her picture and say I love you honey, and our family would be lost without you.

Yesterday the Morning the kids came down stairs to find our Christmas Elf sitting on the tree hanging a new ornament. I didn’t take a picture at the time , but tonight I thought I would share the ornament as today’s picture of the day.
Last night on my way to bed I stood and watched my little girl sleeping. As I watched her was two thoughts com into my mind, one she doesn’t look herself without her hair and to how precious she is to me. As I stood there I heard her little snores and was reminded about Monday, surgery day. The day they take away her snores.
I am not sure how much of it she understands, all I am sure of is that she is scared, she said to me the other day that she likes her snores and doesn’t want them to be taken away. She was also somewhat shy and withdrawn during our tour on Wednesday when the nurses were talking about any of the real medical stuff. While was interested in walking around the hospital and enjoyed doing the hair of one of the nurses, but she wouldn’t put on the finger heart rate monitor or the blood pressure cuff. Of course she isn’t the only one who is nervous, and as I right this I’m starting to realize that I’m more nervous then I thought I would be. It’s my job to protect her and on Monday when she goes with the nurses into the operating there will be nothing I can do for her. She will be in the doctors hands. It’s a scary thought. We thought this procedure through when the doctor first suggested it, we know it’s the right thing for my little girl. I know it will work out in the end, but this will probably be the most painful thing she will experience in her young life and I came supposed to just send her to it with a smile on my face?

Today the kids and I headed to Trillium Hospital for a pre-op tour for Violet’s coming surgery to remove her tonsils and adenoids. I took this picture as we waited for the tour to begin. Violet was colouring and Jacob was trying to remember and write some of the french words he’s learned this year at school. The tour itself was interesting, Violet was her shy self, though she did seem to come out of her shell once in a while. She wouldn’t put the oxygen monitor on her finger, or the blood presser cuff. She did put a cuff on one of the nurses. When it came time to go on the tour she was at the front of the group and was very interested. what I’m not sure if it will help her when it times to go in on monday for the actual surgery.
