Last week Jacob brought home his box of chocolates to sell for school. So for the last week it’s been sitting here wanting me to buy them and eat them. Tonight Jacob came down stairs with a 5 Dollar bill from his room to buy some chocolate for Violet and himself. It was such a sweet request that I didn’t know what to say… So before bed the two kids enjoyed a little bit of Chocolate. I should have captured that moment for today’s picture of the day, but I didn’t think of it. So instead here is a picture of what’s left of the chocolates.
Tonight Melissa and Violet headed out to the theater with Nana and Aunty Suzanne to see the Wizard of OZ. So Jacob and I spent the evening hanging with Nate. As I was pretty sure this was the little guys first boys night, I made sure that he had a turn on the Playstation. As you can see in today’s picture of the day, he hasn’t quite got the hang of holding the controller.
Back in December I picked up a little black notebook to track my work. When the kids saw it they both wanted one. As I used it more and more, even Melissa asked if I could pick her up one. Yesterday I finally got around to picking up a few notebooks for the family. The kids wasted not time starting to write in their books. I was very impressed with how well Violet wrote her name in hers.
Tonight Melissa slaved away in the kitchen making snack for Violet’s preschool tomorrow. The great thing about when Melissa bakes is I get to sample it. Violet’s preschool is one lucky class.
Once again Violet showed me that her favourite toy is a simple cardboard box. I was amazed at how much she played with the small box, she tried to make it a club house out of it. Of course it was barely bigger then her so it was a bit of a challenge.
Today we celebrated Suzanne’s birthday. I could sit here and write a long post about the fun we had today, but I’m to tired, so enjoy today’s picture of the day.
Today at lunch I captured this picture of Jacob as he worked on a crossword with his Nan. It amazes me how much he loves trying to solve them. He did a pretty good job at it, though some of the clues were above him. Though I’m sure it wont be long before he can do it on his own.
Today I thought I’d start doing something I did throughout the first year of my picture of the day, and that’s at the end of each month I’m going to take a picture of myself. Then at the end of the year I’ll put them together in a collage and see if I can see a difference.
Every once in a while I will print some colouring sheets out for the kids. Today I brought home some Phineas And Ferb sheets for Jacob and a Couple of Snow White for Violet. I tried to get a picture of them both colouring but they just wouldn’t sit still long enough. So for today’s picture of the day we have Violet colouring away.
This week I’ve started to track everything I eat, and with tracking I’m trying to make sure I eat breakfast. So this morning I made myself a pepper and cheese omelette .
