After struggling to find a picture last night I had hopped to capture a moment with the kids to-night to use for my POD. When I left this morning for work, it was worm and bright I envisioned an after dinner trip to the park. Of course that was dashed with this evenings rain. So I came home and spent time with the kids, and before I knew it they were snug in their beds and I found myself sitting here without a picture. So I pulled out Violet’s Pre-School Art bag and found this sheep that she made.
Tonight a Skylander Giant makes an appearance as my picture of the day. For tonights Skylander I’ve chosen Tree Rex.
Today Melissa had her first run. It’s the same run I did for my first run, the Harry Rosen Spring Run-Off. She did amazing. I’m so proud of the journey she’s been on over the last few years. She is such an inspiration for me. I have to admit it was strange standing at the finish line and not crossing it. It makes me think I really have to get back out there and run.
Today Melissa picked up her race kit for her big run tomorrow. I remember how excited I was the first time I picked up a race kit, for the very same race. Good Luck tomorrow Melissa.
Today is Violet’s long day, with Pre-School, then Kindergarten enrichment followed by skating. It’s a long day, so I’m glad that she got to have a fun picnic lunch with her Nan. When I heard they were going to be having a picnic I asked my mom to take some pictures. I chose today’s Picture of the Day from the pictures she took.
With Jacob’s surprise ear infection I didn’t really mention Violet’s Needles. She had two shots, the fist went without a hitch, the second hurt her, and today there is big red mark where she got the second needle. Looking at it today I wonder if that’s normal, what do you think?
Today was Violet’s 4 year appointment at the doctors, complete with 2 needles. I had planned on picking up Jacob from school a little early and bringing him along to the appointment. What I didn’t expect was that he’d need to see the doctor as well. It seems my little man has another Ear infection.
Today the ladies headed out with Nana to find some shoes for Violet, leaving Jacob and me home looking for ways to entertain ourselves. So out came the Lego and we went to work finishing up his Bat Cave set. It’s really fun sitting there with Jacob building Lego, though I think we should get some brick sets that allow building using our imagination, the sets are cool, but it would be fun to sit down and just build what ever came to our mind. Perhaps for his birthday I’ll look for a 1000 piece Lego set.
Looking back on the last few Easters I seem to use a picture of the kids dressed up for church for my picture of the day, well at least I did last year. So I guess I’ll make it a tradition. Each year I’ll get a picture of the kids as we get ready to head out to church. Of course I took a much more pictures, of the Egg hunt, their baskets and even our afternoon at Nana’s house. But for today I’ll post just this picture and if I get a chance in the coming day I’ll share some more pictures from Easter.
We spent the afternoon Celebrating Easter with friends, watching the kids play together is always great. I wanted to write more but the Easter bunny is coming tonight and I have to make sure the place is ready Continue reading “POD: Celebrating Easter with Friends”
