Today I’m cheating a little with my picture of the day, only 1 third of it was taken today. The picture is of Jacob’s bean plant he brought home last weekend. on the left is two pictures I took yesterday and on the right is the one I took today before we headed out for swimming. I’m really impressed with how the little bean is growing. We might have to think about finding it a new home before the weekend is out.
Tomorrow Violet and her Aunty Suzanne are going to try to see the panda’s at the Toronto zoo again. So tonight she headed out for a sleepover so they can head out bright and early. I captured todays picture of the day as she walked to Aunty Suzanne’s car.
While I was BBQing our dinner, Violet took out her bike out for a ride. I captured this picture as she speed around the corner. She really loves that bike.
Tonight I headed to the Rogers Centre to watch the boys of summer play. It’s a short 2 game home stand between the Blue Jays and the Giants and I’m happy to report the Jay’s are still undefeated at games where I’m at the Rogers Centre, and they have scored 9 or more runs in each of the games. I think the Jay’s should be offering me some free tickets.

Today the family headed out to the dentist. We were worried about how the kids would do with their appointments, the last time didn’t go to well. This time was totally different, both kids did great. Violet sat by herself for her entire appointment, which included a fluoride treatment. I’m so proud of her. Of course Jacob couldn’t be shown up by his little sister, so he headed off into his appointment all by himself. And did a great job as the Dentist looked over his teeth. What a great visit.
Today was mother’s day a day honor our mothers. So the kids and I got Melissa a couple of things. The first was a box of Waffles, of course I one upped her with Eggo brand instead of the no name they gave me for my birthday. Of course in the box wasn’t Blue Jay’s tickets, instead it was a Brett Lawrie T-Shirt she’d been eying all season.
One final note I want to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there, without you the world wouldn’t function.

This afternoon I pulled out our net and tried to get the kids to play some ball hockey. I tried to get pictures but the kids were having none of it. I did get today’s picture of the day of the kids waiting for me to drop the ball for a faceoff. Of course before I could drop it I had to fix Violet’s grip on her stick and before I could get another picture the moment was list.

Today Melissa and I have a night away from the kids. With a night of dinner theater and a hotel room. It’s nice to get away.
Today Violet’s preschool hosted a Mother’s day tea. So Melissa headed do for tea and a show. Violet was so excited to have Mommy at her preschool. Thanks to Melissa’s new phone she captured the event and I put together a collage for today’s Picture of the Day
Today we have a picture of Violet posing for a picture, showing off some of her new summer clothing.
