This afternoon I headed to the big park with the kids for some fun. Jacob was running around like Spiderman with his web-shooter with its silly string and water canisters. Before we headed to the splash. It was a nice afternoon watching the kids play while I relaxed with my book.
Tonight the kids went to the Lakeshore Mardi Gras with their Nana and Papa. When they returned they each had a new stuffy. I thought it might be fun to take a picture of their new stuffies for today’s picture of the day.
Today we pulled out Jacob’s old hockey equipment to see how it would fit on Violet. She was so excited to try it all on. She can’t wait for next weekend when she’s going with her Papa to finalize her registration for Tyke hockey. I can’t wait to see my little girl on the ice with all the other kids.
The vacation is over and we’re home safe and sound. I thought about a number of pictures for today’s picture of the day but this of the kids asleep in their own beds seemed sweet.
Tonight is our last night of vacation and instead of spending it in a camper at the Darien Lake Camp-grounds, we’re in a hotel in Niagara Falls New York. It’s been a great vacation. As sad as I am that it’s coming to an end it will be nice to be in my own bed tomorrow night.

Today we checked out the Darien Lake Lodge and out front was a giant bear carving. So I got the kids to pose with it.

Today was our second day at Darien Lake, I captured this picture as we walked into the park after breakfast. It’s only our second day but everyone seems to be having a great time. Just wish Melissa was here.
Today the family heads out for our summer vacation, and for the first time since I started my picture of the day I’m not sure I I will he able to post every day this week. I’m not sure if I’ll have Internet, I’m sure I’ll have lots of pictures to choose from each day just not sure when I’ll have a chance to share them. I’ll backdate my posts if I have to.
Today I headed to Toronto’s Festival of Beer with two of my oldest friends. It was a great day spent with old friends and great beer.
This afternoon I took advantage of the kids being out of town to start packing for our vacation next week. As I was sitting here thinking about my picture of the day I saw our cat had decided to use the bags as a bed. I wonder if she realizes we’re going away and is asking to come.
